Ala-Archa State Park is traversed by the Ala-Archa River and is a popular destination for mountain hiking, skiing, and mountaineering. It is home to more than 20 glaciers and offers breathtaking panoramic views. This protected area spans over 200 square kilometers, mostly covered with lush forests. It holds a special significance as a rare habitat for the elusive snow leopard.

During our visit to Ala-Archa, we will take a walk through the enchanting spruce forest, eventually reaching the magnificent Ak Sai waterfall. We will then descend back to Bishkek, making a stop at a captivating viewpoint to witness the awe-inspiring moment of sunset. Finally, we return to the city.

After enjoying an early breakfast, we will head towards the village of Arslanbob, which is situated within an expanse of ancient walnut-fruit forests.

These relict walnut-fruit forests have miraculously survived through millennia, extending to heights ranging from 1200 to 2000 meters and covering an area of over 70,000 hectares. The composition of the forests is diverse, with the predominant tree species being the walnut. Massive groves of walnut trees can be found on slopes with a northern exposure, while on other slopes, there may only be a few scattered trees or small clusters. Along the mountain rivers, there are numerous walnut trees. These walnut trees can reach impressive heights of up to 30 meters under favorable conditions, with trunks measuring up to two meters in diameter and the bark displaying a characteristic cracked appearance.

Upon arrival in the village, we will check in at a guesthouse, enjoy a delicious lunch, and embark on a forest walk to explore the beauty of the region. We will visit a small waterfall and take in panoramic views. Later, we will return to the guesthouse for dinner and a well-deserved rest.

Interestingly, they were built adjacent to the 10th-century memorial mosque that was already in a state of disrepair at that time.

To get there, we will traverse the captivating passes of Kara Goo and Moldo Ashuu, both renowned for their scenic beauty.

Son Kul is a vast alpine lake nestled within a basin between the inner spurs of the majestic Tien Shan mountain range. It is situated between the ridges of Son Kol Too and Moldo Too, offering a picturesque setting in the northwestern part of the Naryn region. This lake serves as a potential hotspot for ecological tourism, tempting visitors with its serene ambiance and natural splendor. With a length of 29 kilometers, a maximum depth of 14 meters, and an average depth of 8.6 meters, it is an impressive body of water. Our next stop takes us to Dzhety Oguz, famous for its iconic rock formations known as the “Nine Bulls of Issyk Kul.” Capture panoramic pictures of this picturesque site, surrounded by the majestic beauty of the surrounding landscapes. Continuing further into the gorge, we will make our way to Kok Dzhaik, a serene location where a delicious lunch awaits us, surrounded by nature’s tranquility.

A walk to the magnificent Maiden’s Spit waterfall awaits us, offering a chance to immerse ourselves in the refreshing ambiance of this natural gem. As we make our way back, we will head towards the city of Karakol, where the best hotel in the city will provide us with comfortable accommodations. After a short rest, we will be treated to a delightful dinner at a Dungan family’s home, offering a unique opportunity to engage in conversation with the hostess and learn about the rich history and traditions of the Dungan people.
